Fellowship Programs

Advanced Aortic and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship

The Duke University Division of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Center for Aortic Disease is pleased to offer a fellowship in advanced aortic, aortic valve, TAVR, and endovascular surgery. This experience will provide intensive training in aortic surgery beyond cardiothoracic residency training. We have four surgeons whose practice is primarily focused on major aortic and aortic valve procedures.

Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowship

The Duke Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowship is a 24-month clinical fellowship designed to develop an autonomous pediatric heart surgeon in the full spectrum of congenital operations. 

Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery Fellowship

This fellowship will provide advanced training in all facets of minimally invasive general thoracic surgery techniques to graduates of cardiothoracic residency programs. Fellows gain broad, extensive experience in all aspects of general thoracic surgery, including both benign and malignant disease.

Thoracic Transplant Surgery Fellowship

The Duke University Division of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery offers an intensive surgical fellowship in mechanical circulatory support, advanced surgical therapies for heart failure, as well as heart and lung transplant surgery. This experience will provide intensive training in heart and lung failure surgery beyond cardiothoracic residency training.
