Dr. Cynthia Shortell Selected as Diversity Committee Chair of the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery

Cynthia Shortell, MD, Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, has been named Chair of the Diversity Committee for the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery (SAVS). The SAVS was established to promote the art and science of vascular surgery and to further education in the comprehensive care of vascular disease, including disorders of the arteries, veins, lymphatics and microcirculation exclusive of the heart and brain. Dr. Leila Mureebe Appointed to Editorial Board of Vascular Medicine

Congratulations to Dr. Leila Mureebe, Associate Professor, Division of Vascular Surgery, for her invitation to join the Editorial Board of Vascular Medicine, the premier peer-reviewed journal of the Society of Vascular Medicine. In its 22nd year, Vascular Medicine provides a platform for vascular clinical science research and a source for continuing education in vascular disease. Dr. Mureebe’s two-year term on the Editorial Board will include peer review of up to four manuscripts per year.
