Congratulations to Leila Mureebe, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, who received a grant from Duke MEDx for her pilot project, “Novel Implantable Oxygen Sensors to Predict Healing of Amputations for Rapid Rehabilitation and Mobility.”
MEDx presented six awards after reviewing 19 applications covering a broad spectrum of research. MEDx, a collaboration between Medicine and Engineering at Duke, was formed in 2015 with a goal to “enhance existing ties and foster new interdisciplinary collaborations” between the two groups.
Dr. Mureebe will partner with Adam Wax, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, on the project.
