Continuing Medical Education

The goal of the Duke Department of Surgery Continuing Medical Education (CME) program is to offer education, training and practice, and guidance in providing exemplary patient care.

We have CME events for Transplant Grand Rounds and a Transplant Education series, as well as continuing education units for nurses and other allied transplant professionals.

Other CME programs occur throughout the year, developed by specialists within the medical center. The Duke University Health System's Office of Clinical Education and Professional Development (CEPD) provides accreditation for all CME courses offered by Duke School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
