Training World-Class Cardiothoracic Surgeons

The training programs in cardiothoracic surgery at Duke University Medical Center are designed to develop academic cardiothoracic surgeons. We offer a traditional training program and have recently been approved by the ACGME to offer an integrated program.

At the completion of the program, residents will demonstrate proficiency in all clinical aspects of cardiothoracic surgery and will have extensive experience and training in clinical research.
