Resident Council

At least twice per year, each resident class sends at least one member to an evening meeting where residents discuss curriculum, organization, and rotation structure, and submit formal, unified recommendations to the faculty, who review these recommendations and improve the resident experience.

Resident Activities

Faculty and residents in the Duke Division of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery enjoy spending time in Durham together.

  • The division, including faculty, residents, and staff, celebrate our incoming residents at our annual resident welcome each year and enjoy a break during our holiday gathering each year.
  • Monthly journal clubs give the residents and faculty an opportunity to learn in a more relaxed social environment.
  • Visiting professor days also provide additional social time for residents to be together.
