Continuing Medical Education

The goal of the Duke Department of Surgery Continuing Medical Education (CME) program is to offer education, training and practice, and guidance in providing exemplary patient care.

Vascular Surgery Multidisciplinary Conference

Every Friday morning the faculty of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery holds regularly scheduled educational conferences at which learners can earn one hour of AMA PRA Category 1 credit. Case conferences and didactic presentations by experts in various fields promoting a multidisciplinary environment include topics covering arterial and venous disorders. See a list of recent conference topics.

Vascular Surgery Journal Club

Vascular Surgery Journal Club meets the second Tuesday evening of each month to review and analyze current medical literature. Participants earn one AMA PRA Category 1 credit.

Other CME programs occur throughout the year, developed by specialists within the medical center. The Duke University Health System's Office of Clinical Education and Professional Development (CEPD) provides accreditation for all CME courses offered by Duke School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
