The Duke Center for Surgical Innovation is dedicated to advancing education through research, collaboration, and state-of-the-art technology. The center provides hands-on training in innovative techniques in the field of minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
Surgical Education and Activities Lab
Duke Surgery opened the Surgical Education and Activities Lab (SEAL) in 2005 to train residents, fellows, medical students, and faculty on simulation equipment in a risk-free environment in an effort to advance medical education and improve patient safety.
