Smita Nair, PhD, Appointed Duke Immune Profiling Core (DIPC) Co-Director

The Duke Division of Surgical Sciences is proud to announce the appointment of Smita Nair, PhD, joining Kent Weinhold, PhD, as Co-director of the Department of Surgery–supported Duke Immune Profiling Core (DIPC), a DCI Shared Resource and School of Medicine Service Center. Dr. Nair is a highly experienced immunologist who brings a wealth of expertise in the realms of discovery and translational research.

This appointment represents a significant expansion of DIPC efforts that were previously focused largely on clinically based immune monitoring. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Nair to this important new role.

  2. Training and Mentoring
  3. Immune Phenotyping and Functional analyses by Polychromatic Flow Cytometry
  4. Multiplex Immunoassays
  5. Chip-Based Single Cell Proteomics Assays (Isoplexis/Bruker)
  6. Tissue processing, cell isolation, and viable cryopreservation
  7. Data Archival
