I was looking for a program with a strong track record of training well-rounded academic surgeons.

Duke is an academic triple threat, with balanced focus on clinical excellence, scientific innovation, and education. Further, the community of residents and attendings is next to none.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Invest in your patients and the process, view every day as an opportunity to learn, and never be afraid to ask for help.

What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?

Durham and the Triangle are affordable, easy places to live, with a thriving food and cultural scene.

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

Run, golf, explore the Triangle with friends, travel
