The Duke Division of Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery would like to welcome Kunoor Jain-Spangler, MD, as the division’s newest bariatric surgeon. Dr. Jain-Spangler completed her residency at Duke in 2013 and is thrilled to now serve patients in Duke’s advanced academic setting.
For Dr. Jain-Spangler, the relationship between patient and doctor during the weight-loss journey is a memorable one. At Duke, Dr. Jain-Spangler says the group process that allows patients to interact with others at different stages of the weight-loss process is unique and provides many benefits, a much-needed support system that can improve patient success.
Dr. Jain-Spangler’s research focuses on bariatric and laparoscopic surgery, specifically the clinical outcomes for patients who undergo surgery. Currently, she is working to use data from clinical outcomes for quality improvement projects, including expanding the geographical reach of Duke’s weight loss program.
Please join the Metabolic and Weight Loss Division in welcoming Dr. Jain-Spangler to their team.
