Gayathri Devi, PhD, Associate Professor in Surgery, Division of Surgical Sciences, was invited to the Morgan Welch Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Program 10th Anniversary Conference as a guest speaker and chair of the general session. Held February 11-12, 2017, the conference targeted clinical investigators, physicians, researchers, and patient advocates to enhance their knowledge of inflammatory breast cancer and facilitate an opportunity for collaboration and clinical trial development. Dr. Devi’s talk concerned “Microenvironments and Models in Inflammatory Breast Cancer,” and the topic of the general session was “Understanding the Biology of Inflammatory Breast Cancer.” Congratulations to Dr. Devi for her invitation to the conference, a recognition of the important work she has completed in breast cancer research.
