Durham Nativity School to Celebrate 15th Anniversary at Annual ‘Dare to Dream Big’ Spring Event

For its 15th anniversary, Durham Nativity School will honor Duke University Hand Transplant Surgeon and Associate Professor Dr. Linda Cendales and Duke University Neurosurgeon and Professor Dr. Michael Haglund with the Joseph Moylan Founder’s Award. The Founder's Award is given in memory of the school's founder, Dr. Joseph Moylan, to an individual (or individuals) in the community for their service and commitment to the school's mission and the broader community. Both Dr. Cendales and Dr. Haglund have given countless hours working with students at Durham Nativity and in the community.

The award presentation and celebration will be held on April 28, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at the Durham Convention Center located at 301 West Morgan Street, Durham.

Dr. Corenthian "Corey" J. Booker, Duke University Medical Center, will be the guest speaker.

Tickets for the event may be purchased on the school’s website at www.durhamnativity.org.

Durham Nativity School provides a tuition-free, enriched learning environment and a 12-year support system for middle school boys who have the ability and commitment to achieve, but not the resources for a quality, independent school education. The school promotes a rigorous academic program and nurtures the whole child to reach his potential through knowledge, moral values, learning skills, discipline, and character development.
