Welcome from Program Director and Assistant Director

dr. hattoriOn behalf of the Duke Department of Surgery Division of Abdominal Transplant and Center for Advanced Practice, we would like to welcome you to our Adult Abdominal Transplant Fellowship for Advanced Practice Providers!

The fellowship is designed to provide 12 months of clinical rotations pertaining to the medical and surgical aspects of liver, kidney, pancreas, and small intestine transplantation. During this time, you will have the opportunity to rotate with variety of departments and services to better understand the field of Transplant from many perspectives. You will also utilize an online classroom through Duke Sakai for additional education.

The goal of the fellowship is to provide both new graduate and experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners comprehensive and balanced training in patient care and transplant surgery. We take pride in our team dynamic and believe that you will always feel supported, but also challenged to learn as much as you can during this time.
