Clinical and Research Interests

I took an extra year while in medical school to get my MBA. I am interested in the intersection between business and medicine, especially as it pertains to plastic surgery. I am particularly interested in business education during plastic surgery residency, as I believe that our field is uniquely situated to benefit from this knowledge.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Intern year is one of the steepest learning curves you will have throughout your career. Be open to learning as much as you can from all the different type of providers that you interact with. And make sure you try to prioritize self-care and to establish a good support system. 

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

I love animals and am on staff with CrisisDogsNC, a North Carolina-based dog rescue. Outside of that, I enjoy exploring Durham’s restaurant and bar scene with friends.
