Rishi Kamaleswaran, PhD, was recognized as a 2026 Fellow of the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS), a non-profit membership association of translational scientists from the nation's leading academic medical centers.
ACTS launched the Fellows of ACTS (FACTS) program this year. FACTS is a membership program for individuals who have made substantial contributions to and service within the clinical and translational science field. Dr. Kamaleswaran is one of 36 individuals selected for the inaugural class of Fellows from ACTS's almost 6,000-person membership.
Dr. Kamaleswaran is an associate professor in surgery within the Division of Trauma, Acute, and Critical Care Surgery. He also holds faculty positions in the departments of Anesthesiology, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics in healthcare, particularly in critical care and perioperative medicine, and cystic fibrosis.
