General Surgery Resident Receives DCRI Research Fellowship

Congratulations to Oliver Jawitz, MD, General Surgery Resident, who has received a research fellowship from the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI). With funding from the DCRI's T32 research training grant, the fellowship will support Dr. Jawitz's postdoctoral training in cardiovascular research.

“I am looking forward to my research fellowship at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) where I will be performing outcomes based clinical research in cardiac surgery,” says Dr. Jawitz. “I will be focusing specifically on advanced heart failure therapies including heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.”

Dr. Jawitz will begin his term at the DCRI on July 1, 2018.
