Four Duke Surgery residents have been awarded 2026 Research in Residency Technician Support Awards through the Duke Office of Physician-Scientist Development.

The program competitively funds laboratory technician support for residents who participate in Stimulating Access to Research in Residency (StARR) R38 and Residency Training Program R25 grants. Each award provides $25,000 for one year to cover a portion of the salary and associated fringe benefits of a laboratory technician or research assistant.
