Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Center Hosts First Annual Smile Stand

The Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Center will be holding its first annual Smile Stand this year to raise support and celebrate the cleft and craniofacial community. The Duke Cleft and Craniofacial Team is a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Jeffrey Marcus and Dr. Alexander Allori dedicated to the care of children with cleft and craniofacial conditions. Please join the team for their inaugural event.

The event will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019. Each Smile Stand location will be serving treats and lemonade. The Smile Stands will also have family-friendly activities, including face painting and balloon art.

One patient’s special journey through cleft and craniofacial care will be highlighted at each Smile Stand, and the patients and their families will be there to host!  The center's very own doctors and team providers will also be volunteering to serve up goodies and spread more smiles!

Please watch this 2-minute video on how the Smile Stand was started and to get a glimpse into the patient care that it will support.
