Laura Rosenberger, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Section of Breast Surgery, in collaboration with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) has developed a new CAP Cancer Reporting Template for the examination of resection specimens from patients with phyllodes tumors of the breast.
This new cancer reporting template is important for ensuring the accurate and reproducible classification of phyllodes, as well as facilitating research into this rare tumor.
This development comes on the heels of Dr. Rosenberger's preceding research and publication, "ASO Visual Abstract: Limited Reporting of Histopathologic Details in a Multi-Institutional Academic Cohort of Phyllodes Tumors: Time for Standardization."
