Leila Mureebe, MD, MPH, Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, has been recognized as one of the 87 newly selected Fellows of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). This honor places Dr. Mureebe among a growing community of dedicated experts committed to advancing the role of informatics in improving healthcare quality.
Each year, FAMIA welcomes professionals who demonstrate exemplary use of informatics tools, research, and leadership to improve personal and population health. Dr. Mureebe’s induction acknowledges her achievements in applying informatics to elevate clinical and operational performance.
A formal ceremony for this year’s cohort will take place at the AMIA 2025 Clinical Informatics Conference, scheduled from May 20 to 22 in Anaheim, California.
