Jay Lee, MD, Receives GEMSSTAR Award

Jay Lee, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery, has been selected for the Grants for Early Medical/Surgical Specialists' Transition to Aging Research (GEMSSTAR), also known as the R03 grant. This R03 grant will help fund Dr. Lee’s research project titled “Improving Decision-Making for Older Adults with Melanoma.”

The purpose of the NCI K08 grant is to provide support for early career physician-scientists trained in medical or surgical specialties and early career dentist-scientists to launch careers as future leaders in aging-or-geriatric-focused research.
