Clinical and Research Interests

My interests include, but are not limited to, endourology, surgical oncology, and quality improvement and healthcare delivery.

What were you looking for in a residency program?

A well-balanced program that provided excellent surgical and research training.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

Excellent surgical training in robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgery. Many research and quality improvement opportunities in a variety of fields. Residents are tightly knit. Faculty are invested in our success.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

In the hospital, develop your own system to quickly organize and categorize different information. Outside the hospital, go hang-out with your co-residents and explore Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh!

What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?

Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh each have their unique vibe. Cost-of-living is very reasonable, and it is certainly possible to buy a house. Good food scene and lots of state parks. Travel is convenient with light traffic and super-convenient airport.

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

Cooking, hiking, traveling, and playing basketball
