Sydney Jeffs

I am an MD-PhD candidate with research interests at the intersection of transplantation, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. My work focuses on ex vivo organ modification strategies to enhance organ recovery and reduce rejection, using innovative approaches to engineer the transplant environment before implantation. I aim to become a transplant surgeon-scientist leading translational research at the forefront of biomedical innovation in graft preservation and immune modulation. Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring new cities, cycling, trying local foods, and spending time with my dog.
