I graduated from the University of Georgia with undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biochemical Engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research in Marine Science, Plant Pathology, and Polymer Chemistry to find the most exciting research path for me. I then went to NC State and completed a PhD focusing on the innate immune system of the gastrointestinal tract. In 2021, I joined the Pollara Lab at Duke, where my work focuses on innate immune cell interactions in solid organ transplant. Since 2022, I have been part of the Duke OTC Fellows program, conducting tech reviews and creating marketing summaries. At home, I like to read (always open to book suggestions – any genre), cook, do deep dives into niche topics, rock climb, and explore new places.
