Katherine Stanley, MBA, is the Vice Chair of Administration for the Duke Department of Surgery. Prior to holding the position of Vice Chair of Administration, Katherine served as the Director of Clinical Operations and the Divisional Administrator for the Divisions of Urology, Surgical Oncology, and General and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery within the department.
Prior to joining Duke Surgery, Katherine held other positions at Duke Health, including Director of Operations for the Duke Health and Wellness programs and director of the Community Private Diagnostic Clinic at Duke, which spanned over 30 Duke-affiliated practices.
Prior to joining Duke, Katherine was the Vice-President of Contract Management for Coastal Physician Group, an emergency medicine contracting company. Her first healthcare position was in the marketing and public relations department of what is now known as Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Katherine graduated from Davidson College with a BA degree in psychology. She received her MBA at Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, focusing in service operations.
