Jennifer Hunara, MHA, MBA, is the Chief Administrative Officer and Vice Chair for Administration for the Duke Department of Surgery. 

In her role, Hunara provides comprehensive administrative leadership, coordination, and financial oversight for the department, with responsibility for business operations including finance and budgeting, personnel administration, space and facilities planning, grant administration, and policy interpretation.

Prior to joining Duke Surgery, Hunara served since 2017 as Senior Director for the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where she led successful budget, clinical management, and physician compensation initiatives while growing operating room volume and clinic visits. Before MSK, Hunara served as the inaugural Administrator at Surgery Center of Allentown; Executive Director, Surgical Services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ; and Perioperative Services Business Manager at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network.
