Postdoctoral Research Scholar
I graduated from Emory & Henry University with a degree in Chemistry. Following undergrad, I worked as a research technician at the Duke Human Vaccine Institute. I then pursued a PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences at NC State, focusing on the innate immune system and novel therapeutic targets to regulate excessive neutrophil inflammation. In 2022, I returned to Duke to join the Pollara lab. I am currently a Duke Interdisciplinary Research Training Program in AIDS T32 fellow, and my research focuses on neutrophil antiviral responses to HIV-1 in the presence of HIV1- specific antibodies. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending as much time as possible outside with my family.
