Still developing a niche, but see myself practicing in a community setting. Past research has been on infective endocarditis in children.

What were you looking for in a residency program?

Good people! I based most of my residency-related decisions on how nice people were and how much they seemed to like their jobs.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

Our faculty group is awesome. There are a lot of strong clinicians who like to teach.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Pick a program where you'll be happy.

What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?

Breweries, sports and weather. Easy transition from Portland to Durham. I love it here.

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

I like going to the breweries and food trucks in Durham.
