Rishi Kamaleswaran, PhD, Associate Professor in Surgery in the Division of Trauma, Acute, and Critical Care Surgery, has been awarded an R01 grant from the National Institutes of Technology (NIH) for his project titled, "Resilience Endotype-Derivation Through Parsimonious Analysis and Causal Inference of Recovery from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (REPAIR-ARDS)."
The project will focus on using artificial intelligence and machine learning to understand how people recover from lung injury in the surgical intensive care unit, utilizing data that is being captured within the ongoing work of the Surgical Critical Care Initiative (SC2i) consortium.
