R. Keith Reeves, PhD, to Lead Project in New NIH-Funded HIV iCure Consortium

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded a five-year, $17 million UM1 grant to launch the HIV iCure Consortium, a collaborative initiative led by The Wistar Institute and involving multiple institutions, including Duke University.

R. Keith Reeves, PhD, Professor in Surgery, will serve as the overall principal investigator of Project 2, which focuses on NK cell and HLA-E biology. The consortium seeks to develop individualized treatments for HIV by combining advanced antibody, mRNA, and cell-based therapies with strategies designed for each participant’s unique viral profile.
