The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation has named Norine Chan, MD, General Surgery Resident, as a 2025 Emerging Liver Scholar.
The AASLD Foundation's Emerging Liver Scholars (ELS) program provides medical residents the opportunity to explore hepatology as a career through educational and professional development programming. The program will host 36 early career physicians at The Liver Meeting 2025.
Dr. Chan is currently completing a research fellowship as part of the General Surgery Residency Program.
