Krish Dewan, MD, General Surgery Research Fellow, has received two awards for his abstract presentation at the American Society for Artificial internal Organs (ASAIO) 2024 70th Annual Meeting.

At the conference, Dr. Dewan presented the following two abstracts:

  1. Outcomes After Surgical Intervention for Outflow Graft Obstruction in Magnetically-Levitated Centrifugal-Flow Left Ventricular Assist Device Patients
  2. Gene Therapy During The Ex-Situ Heart Perfusion: Where Are We Now And Where Can We Go?

Dr. Dewan’s first abstract was awarded the ASAIO Top Cardiac Clinical Abstract Award and the ASAIO Willem J Kolff Award (Top Overall Abstract).
