Four Duke Surgery Residents Receive Office of Physician-Scientist Development Awards

Congratulations to Duke Surgery residents Abigail Benkert, Adrian Camarena, Lauren West-Livingston, and Aurian Garcia Gonzalez on being awarded 2026 Research in Residency Technician Support awards from the Duke Office of Physician-Scientist Development (OPSD).

The Research in Residency program competitively funds laboratory technician support for residents who participate in Stimulating Access to Research in Residency (StARR) R38 and Residency Training Program R25 grants.

The Duke Surgery residents represented four of six total Technician Support awards granted for the 2026 round.
