Congratulations to the Division of Surgical Oncology’s Dan Blazer, MD, Professor of Surgery, on receiving the Southern Surgical Association’s (SSA) 2022 Shipley Award. Dr. Blazer was selected as the recipient last December 2022 and was presented the award on December 5, 2023, at the 135th Annual Session of the SSA.
Recipients of the Shipley Award are individuals, who within the first two years of membership, are chosen by presenting the best scientific paper at the SSA’s annual meeting.
