Additionally, the fellow will gain expertise in prosthetic urology, including the evaluation and management of both primary implants and complex revision cases.
The fellow will gain experience in construction and revision of urinary diversion performed for various indications, including cancer reconstruction, incontinence, and neurologic bladder dysfunction. This approach is a unique experience that combines reconstruction with training in the management of the complex cancer survivor who may need major abdominal reconstructive procedures. The urodynamic aspect of the fellowship includes the conduct and interpretation of video urodynamics and the care of its attendant population.
Note: In 2016, the Reconstructive Urology, Female Urology and Urodynamics Fellowship was combined with the Genitourinary Cancer Survivorship Fellowship to create the Reconstructive Urology and Genitourinary Cancer Survivorship Fellowship.
