David Harpole, MD, FACS, FCCP, Professor of Surgery in the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, has announced that the NHLBI R38 research grand supporting the Duke Resident Physician-Scientist Program has been renewed.
The grant, awarded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is currently in the last year of a five-year award, and has been renewed for an additional five years. Dr. Harpole serves as principal investigator for the program, which has begun accepting applications for new research fellows.
