Congratulations to Kristy Rialon, MD, recent graduate of the General Surgery Residency Program, on receiving the 2016 Hilary Sanfey Outstanding Resident Award from the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS). The AWS presented Dr. Rialon with the award at the 35th Anniversary AWS Foundation Awards Dinner during the American College of Surgeons Annual Clinical Congress on Monday. The award recognizes surgical trainees who demonstrate potential as future leaders in surgery.
Dr. Rialon received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her General Surgery Residency at Duke in June 2016. She is currently in the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship Program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
