I am still exploring which surgical subspecialty I would like to pursue a fellowship in.

My research focuses on improving patient outcomes and increasing access to high quality, cost-effective surgical care for patients in the US and globally.

What were you looking for in a residency program?

I wanted a residency program that would provide me with the resources and exposure to become an excellent technical surgeon, with the mentorship to develop my research interests and impact healthcare on a larger scale.

What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?

I love having the Eno River State Park in my backyard while only having a 12 minute commute to the hospital.

What do you like to do outside of Duke?

I love hiking with my dogs and wife, watching and playing soccer
