Duke Tuesday in Urology

On March 7, 1978, Dr. James F. Glenn, Chief of Urology, presented and moderated the first Duke Tuesday in Urology conference. Over the past 38 years attendees have been engaged through moderated lectures, supplemented with video surgical presentations, interactive panel discussions, and case discussions presented by Duke faculty and nationally recognized guest lecturers, making it one of the most respected and recognized conferences of its kind.
These half-day conferences are held at the Searle Conference Center located on the Duke University Medical Center campus.

The specialty of urology is rapidly changing as a result of the tremendous growth in urologic cancers, diseases, and the treatment of these conditions, generating a great need for knowledge and up-to-date information. Additionally, changes as a result of improved technology and treatments, health care reform, and professional certifications increase providers’ need for knowledge.
Over eight decades of experience in caring for patients with urologic diseases has established Duke's Division of Urologic Surgery as a world leader in urologic care, research and education. In partnership with our colleagues in the Duke Cancer Institute, the LEADING EDGE UROLOGY: Duke Urologic Assembly has expanded to include the Duke Urologic Cancer Symposium. This expanded educational conference features lectures by Duke and guest urologists, medical and radiation oncologists. We have assembled an outstanding roster of national experts, participating in a comprehensive scientific program that provides cutting edge updates on the most effective and efficient diagnostic and treatment options in the sub-specialties of urology.
