Research Approach and Overview
Kidney cancer research at Duke places an emphasis on translational programs that can have direct consequences on improving patient care and surgical therapy.
Currently, our research is concentrated on improving minimally invasive kidney surgery, kidney cancer therapy, and patient outcomes.
Research in our lab relies on collaboration between urologic oncology, medical oncology, and basic scientists. We have developed extramural collaborations with researchers who share our mutual research interests of advancing medicine and improving patient care.
